Walking the beach felt like being in a dream. It was a moody day but then the veil of fog lifted. The sun started to cast light on the water and the tide wrapped ribbons around the rocks. I knew that I needed to paint what I was feeling. Fortunately I had my camera with me so I took a bunch of pictures and then went back to my studio and got to work before the memory faded.
