Summer…Time Out

by C.Kidder on July 16, 2011

” Rest  is  not  idleness,  and  to  lie  sometimes  on  the  grass  on  a  summer  day  listening  to  the  murmer  of water, or  watching  the  clouds  float  across  the sky  is  hardly  a waste  of  time…”   ~John Lubbock

To Maine and Back…

by C.Kidder on July 8, 2011

I spent the past three days motoring through Maine with my husband.  Our first stop was  Wiscasset… “One of the Prettiest little towns in Maine” .  Usually I’m on my way to Monhegan Island ( where I did the painting above) when I go through this quaint  town.   The Wiscasset Bay Gallery is filled with beautiful works of Maine Art [...]

Getting Real…

by C.Kidder on May 29, 2011

Staying at the  Camelback Inn Resort in Scottsdale Arizona was like visiting another planet. A planet called Paradise. Maybe some people would disagree but living in an unreal world can be very healthy…especially when you’re coming from a place called New England where the Spring that you longed for all winter was nothing more than a [...]

Every day is beautiful…

by C.Kidder on May 14, 2011

“EVERY FLOWER AND EVERY TREE AND EVERY ROOT ARE ANNUAL PROPHETS SENT TO AFFIRM THE FUTURE AND CHEER THE WAY.”  ~Henry Ward Beecher
There have been alot of gray and green days this May… but even when the sun isn’t shining the light of plush pink flowering trees lifts my spirits.
I’ve actually decided  that the blossoms are [...]
