“Up Hill”…Monhegan Island

by C.Kidder on May 29, 2010

Had a pleasant surprise today when I stopped into ValeriesGallery  in Newburyport this afternoon and found out that one of my paintings had sold!  The painting is called “Up Hill” and it was done on Monhegan Island off the coast of Maine.   The timing couldn’t have been better because I’m headed back there next week for a few days [...]

Poppies are popping in my Garden!

by C.Kidder on May 26, 2010

  OIL PASTEL   8×10
It was a long time coming but finally I ’m able to paint the fields with soft hues of  pinks, greens and violet.
Spring always seems to drift by way too fast.   I need to get out the next few days and paint its budding colors before it’s too late!

Sunny Side Up

by C.Kidder on March 4, 2010

My neighbor Kristie left a dozen fresh eggs from her chickens in my mailbox today…such a treat!
It was perfect timing for me to find them because I was “home alone” tonight for dinner …which doesn’t happen often.  So I fried  a couple of eggs, made some wheat toast with jam and then happily sat in [...]

It’s a New Day

by C.Kidder on February 22, 2010

It is a beautiful day…I hope that everyone will take the time to look at the sky and feel the warmth of the sun on their faces…even if it’s from a window looking out.  Happy week to all…make it a good one!
