A Palette of White…My Peaceful Garden

by C.Kidder on May 20, 2010

Ten years ago when I still owned and ran my shop “Eliza Grays Goods”  I have to admit that I was a bit stressed at times!  My boys were twelve and ten years old and my husband was traveling alot for business.  I was trying to do it all…painting, parenting, practicing Yoga, and more.  That’s when I [...]

Painting Springtime

by C.Kidder on April 21, 2010

  OIL PASTEL   8×10
It was a long time coming but finally I ’m able to paint the fields with soft hues of  pinks, greens and violet.
Spring always seems to drift by way too fast.   I need to get out the next few days and paint its budding colors before it’s too late!

“The Art Spirit”

by C.Kidder on April 10, 2010

Finding Sunshine

by C.Kidder on March 15, 2010

It wasn’t the best day to take a drive to Newburyport but it was worth the trip. I had an appointment with the owner of  Valeries Gallery to show her some of my paintings . It was pouring when I got there and I “literally blew in the door” holding my portfolio tightly so it wouldn’t get [...]

In the Clouds

by C.Kidder on March 13, 2010

I love to paint the sky on cloudy days.  The mood changes minute by minute and it is  always a challenge to capture the feeling.
The past couple of days the cloud formations have been especially interesting.  At one point as I was driving early in the morning they looked like huge waves on the horizon.   I [...]

Search for Color

by C.Kidder on March 5, 2010

It was fun seeing a couple of  my photos posted on Kate Spade’s wall  in N.Y.C.   I submitted the “Fresh eggs” picture (third photo down on left hand side) and also an image of  an oil pastel painting that I did  called “Swaying trees” (bottom row on right side) for a contest called “Pop of Color”   posted on Facebook.  After this long [...]
