Finding Sunshine

It wasn’t the best day to take a drive to Newburyport but it was worth the trip. I had an appointment with the owner of  Valeries Gallery to show her some of my paintings . It was pouring when I got there and I “literally blew in the door” holding my portfolio tightly so it wouldn’t get drenched.  When I entered the Gallery it was like finding a bit of sunshine !  My eyes darted from the walls covered with paintings , woodcuts,and photography to shelves filled with colorful pottery.  Valerie was warm and gracious inviting me to “make myself at home” as I showed her my paintings.  I chose to bring  a few Beach Scenes that I did late last summer…seemed like a way to feel some  sunshine and think of better days on this miserable one!  Fortunately Valerie liked my work and will begin representing me at her warm and sunny Gallery.  I’m very excited and look foward to seeing my paintings hanging in such a wonderful Gallery!!
