I’ve been wanting to do a painting of the shorebirds that I see racing in the sand at Crane Beach for a long time now. Usually I don’t sketch before I start painting…I just like to dive in with color but this time I did a few quick sketches from memory to get started . This afternoon I’m going to go back to walk on the beach and maybe take some pictures and then tomorrow I plan on beginning the painting..we’ll see how it goes.

Thanks Melynn…I think I’m going to use Gouache. I’ll post a picture when it’s finished.
